On July 11 at Meharry Medical College, Moving Forward, the Nashville Scene and its partners hosted a mayoral forum focused on one of the region’s most pressing needs— regional transit.
Thank you to the candidates for taking the time to share how they would address the region’s transit challenges in strategic, inclusive, and equitable manner.
The forum was hosted in partnership with Cumberland Region Tomorrow, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee, the Urban League of Middle Tennessee, Vanderbilt University’s Office of Transportation & Mobility, and Walk Bike Nashville.
Panelists included Alice Rolli, Freddie O’Connell, Heidi Campbell, Jeff Yarbro, Matt Wiltshire, Sharon Hurt, Jim Gingrich, Natisha Brooks, and Vivian Wilhoite.

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce recently published a Q&A with the candidates on topics ranging from investing in Metro Nashville Public Schools to whether they would commit to holding a transit referendum during their first term.
