What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
One of my favorite parts about living and working in Middle Tennessee is that the region still has that small-town feel despite its tremendous growth in recent years. It has been incredible to witness this expansion and grow alongside the community while continuing to deliver a personalized banking experience to our friends and neighbors.
Who is First Farmers Bank and what should we know about you?
First Farmers is a community bank with 22 locations in seven Middle Tennessee counties: Davidson, Williamson, Maury, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, and Marshall. We have proudly served Middle Tennessee families and businesses for over a century and were founded on the belief that to build a strong local bank, one must first build strong relationships. Through our continued growth, we have remained focused on our mission to enrich the lives of our team members, customers, and communities.
What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?
This year, our main priority as a company is to help our customers grow along with us. We have continued to be one of Middle Tennessee’s leading community banks because of our intentional focus on our communities and our desire to create a personalized banking experience for each individual and business we serve. We are proud to have recently launched a better digital banking experience. Our new mobile app and online platform feature enhanced functionality, a fresh interface, streamlined navigations, and additional tools to help our customers reach their financial goals from their favorite devices, whether on a laptop, cell phone, or smartwatch.
As we continue growing, our highest priority remains to create tailored financial experiences and serve as dependable resources for our customers.
What’s your best piece of advice for other business owners?
The relationship between a business owner and their banker is very important. For that reason, our team prioritizes connecting business owners with the right banker to establish a deep level of trust and understanding. Investing in this relationship helps the business owner maintain a level of comfort, knowing that their banker understands their long-term financial goals. We understand that our customers live busy lives, and our goal is to be there for them every step of the way.
How do you stay involved in the community?
When choosing partners to serve the place we call home, we look for organizations that share First Farmers’ steadfast mission, vision, and core values. Our community involvement primarily focuses on affordable housing initiatives, civic enhancement and community improvement projects, health and wellness, community arts, and children’s educational organizations.
