The Metro Planning Department will hold a series of in-person community input meetings beginning Monday, March 27, 2023 to get feedback from the community on new Metro Council District boundaries. Please see a full schedule of the public input opportunities in the graphic below.

In accordance with State Law HB48/87, the Metro Planning Department has initiated the process of creating maps for redistricting the Metro Council from 40 members to 20 members. The bill requires Metro Planning Commission to recommend a map to the Metro Council by Monday, April 10.

Metro Planning Staff anticipates releasing a draft map Friday, March 24 or Saturday, March 25 to give the public time to review the map prior to community meetings. You will find those maps on their redistricting website – www.redistrict.nashville.gov. They will also send out a newsletter notifying the public the map has been released. Click here to sign up for their newsletter.

There will be an opportunity to provide feedback via online maps on Metro’s Planning redistricting website. Once the tool is up and running, they will be sure to provide detailed directions for how feedback can be provided and how Planning Staff will work to address constituent comments.
