What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
Middle Tennessee has a distinct character to it, which has contributed to this becoming one of my favorite places in the world and one I am proud to call home. With the open-mindedness and friendliness of the community combined with the arts-centric nature that bleeds into every corner, I can’t imagine a better place to start and run a business. It’s been a pleasure to experience the business community here, and I’ve found that professionals in Middle Tennessee perfectly blend the warmth of the small towns with the polish of the big city ¬¨- it’s the best of both worlds.
Who is Real Property Management Concordia and what should we know about you?
Real Property Management (RPM) is the largest third-party property management company in North America. We’re a full-service property management group that specializes in long term single family to eight-plex rentals. RPM Concordia is the newest franchise office in Middle Tennessee. We’re a veteran-owned family business. My father and business partner, David, served as an aviator in the Army for eight years and is a seasoned Real Estate investor, and I got my degree in Real Estate from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. We decided to partner together around a year ago, and our passion for Real Estate led us to start a property management business.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
Because RPM is the largest national player in the property management space, we have access to world-class tools, systems, and resources that would not have been otherwise available to us as new business owners. However, as we are also a small family business, we’re able to be hands-on, providing the level of service investors and residents deserve. We benefit from the best elements of being a national brand and a small local business.
Further, because of the tools we have access to, we’re able to take on a role like that of an asset manager. To an investor looking to grow their portfolio, we can develop a personalized plan based on their needs and goals and find the property that best aligns with them. At the end of the day, we want to take away the headaches for real estate investors and be their guide as the market fluctuates.
What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?
Our vision and immediate goal is to provide the best service possible to both our residents and our owners. We understand the importance a good property manager plays in a comfortable renting experience for both residents and property owners. We are committed to creating a positive impact on all sides we work with – we want to cultivate an amazing living experience for residents while maximizing investors’ ROI.
How do you stay involved in the community?
Our office is based in Three One Three at Home Church in Inglewood, which is a co-working space that converts unused office space in churches. Their mission of repurposing that space to benefit people who need offices as well as churches who sit empty 313 days out of the year resonated with our own mission of ensuring we serve both investors and residents, so all parties have a positive experience. We chose to the space in part because it’s a fantastic office, but more because we believe in their mission. Through Three One Thee, I’ve gotten a chance to volunteer with People Loving Nashville, which headquarters in the same building as our office to serve Nashville’s residents experiencing homelessness.
I’m a member of the Nashville Junior Chamber of Commerce where I have been able to join the council program. I also enjoy finding opportunities to plug in to the local industry and am a participant in Real Estate Investors Nashville (REIN) and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.
