The current Nashville election cycle is one of the most significant in recent history, as evidenced by the recent uptick in forums, mailers, advertisements, and door-to-door campaigns around the city. With Nashvillians preparing to elect a new mayor, vice mayor, and nearly half of the 40-member Metro Council, turnover is on the horizon.

Early Voting Schedule

The early voting period for Davidson County will begin on Friday, August 25 and conclude on Saturday, September 9. Individuals are free to choose a convenient location, as there are no assigned locations for early voting. Sites will be open during the day, some evenings, and on Saturdays. The waits are usually shorter than on Election Day, and if you need to update your address, the process can be completed more quickly than on Election Day. The deadline to request an Absentee Ballot is September 7. However, it is recommended by USPS that the Absentee Ballot be mailed by September 1 to ensure its arrival.

The Runoff Election Day is scheduled for Thursday, September 14. On this day, it is mandatory to vote at your assigned polling location. These locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To determine your assigned polling location, please visit the Davidson County Election Day Polling Place Finder.
