Nashville has declared a state of emergency after the recent flash flooding. Our hearts and deepest sympathies are with those who have lost loved ones and experienced damage to their homes and businesses. We are grateful for all first responders who have worked tirelessly following the city’s second-highest ever two-day rainfall which flooded our communities. We know that Nashville remains resilient and will continue to rebound through another difficult time.

Below are a list of resources offering relief and assistance.

  • Nashville Responds: March 2021 Flood Response Request for Assistance – For those impacted by March 2021 flash flooding in Davidson County, call the Crisis Helpline at 615-244-7444, 24 hours-a-day or complete the form below. Language Translations services are available.
  • Nashville Emergency Response Viewing Engine (NERVE) – Metro Nashville Davidson County residents are encouraged to report flood damage to their property through the NERVE website. These self-submitted damage reports help emergency officials report the extent of the damage for disaster relief funding.
  • hubNashville – a comprehensive customer service system, that makes it easier for people to connect with Metro representatives in order to make service requests, ask questions, and share feedback.
  • American Red Cross – Nashville’s Office of Emergency Management worked with the American Red Cross to provide shelter for those displaced by flooding. More information on resources available can be found here.
  • Flood Debris Guidelines – All items and materials must be separated into three different piles and placed within 16 feet of the curb or street side for collection. If the debris is not separated, it will not be collected. Please see attached graphic for more information on separation. Learn more.

How you can help:

  • Hands on Nashville is working closely with Nashville’s Office of Emergency Management to safely deploy volunteers to areas in need of help from recent flash flooding. When volunteer opportunities are available, they will post them to this link with the hashtag #NashvilleFlooding. Please STAY SAFE and do not self-deploy outside your own neighborhood unless you’ve registered for a project.
  • Community Resource Center – The Community Resource Center is collecting donated items at 218 Omohundro Place. Current debris removal needs are listed here on their website. Donated items can be dropped off or shipped to 218 Omohundro Place. Items can also be purchased through CRC’s Amazon wish list and sent directly to the organization.
