NASHVILLE, TN, May 27, 2021 — Since 2013, Middle Tennessee leaders have turned to the Vital Signs report to understand what emerging issues will impact the region’s economic well-being and quality of life. Vital Signs utilizes data from the Census and other respected sources and pairs this data with findings from the annual Vital Signs survey of Middle Tennessee residents. The result is a rich understanding of the issues facing the region and how Middle Tennesseans see and understand those issues. The Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) is the Chamber’s partner in the creation of Vital Signs.

A new website, (Vital Signs Dashboard), designed by the Nashville Chamber Research Center, gives residents, developers, policymakers and stakeholders of Nashville an in-depth view on how residents see and understand several topics, including the economy, workforce development, transportation, housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and education. The 2020 Vital Signs Dashboard is filled with interactive tables, charts, and maps that encourage users to explore the data and what it means in the context of Nashville. Data tables are also fully downloadable for further independent analysis.
