What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
I just moved here in January from Rhode Island, and already it is clear to me that the region has many forward-thinking people committed to building their businesses using the most advanced leadership and organizational design models available. That is my perfect client profile, as all my work is focused on introducing next generation processes to businesses committed to innovation and growth.
What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
I am a new member, but I have been extremely impressed with how inviting, open, and responsive every Chamber representative has been. It is clear to me that this Chamber is going to be a critical part of me being integrated into the Nashville business community.
Who is Jeffrey Deckman and what should we know about you?
I am a serial entrepreneur who, after 30 years building businesses in the technology sector and a leadership think tank, started a boutique consulting firm 17 years ago. I am an author and have developed national and international award-winning processes that leaders and their organizations use to maximize their ability to thrive in the knowledge economy during the post-pandemic age.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
Collectively the processes I have developed, the book I have written, and the training programs I have created form a complete body of work that is focused on maximizing employee engagement, organizational performance, and company profits in the modern era. I blend next generation conscious leadership mindsets, models, and methods with practical practices that help leaders maximize human capital and build agile organizations.
What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?
My first goal is to help as many companies as possible to learn and adopt the new conscious leadership mindsets, models, and methods that are redefining how business is being done in the 21st century. My next goal is to finish writing my second book about a powerful new leadership system entitled The Bigger Known Principles of Conscious Leadership in Action.
What best business practices did you learn in 2020 and what did you do to be creative?
I developed methods to teach and deliver new leadership and organizational design processes that assisted owners and executives to maximize employee engagement and performance during the pandemic.
What’s your best piece of advice for other business owners?
Human capital is your most important resource in your organization. Focus heavily on developing strong leadership skills and efficient organizational designs that unleash your human capital, limit organizational choke points and which pave the way to increased employee retention and company profits.
How do you stay involved in the community?
My background in the technology industry and running specialized training focused on economic development, workforce development, and entrepreneurship initiatives may be of value to the Chamber and the community it serves. I will also be offering free workshops and seminars on the future of leadership and organizational design.
