What’s the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
Middle Tennessee is a special place. Not only is it the healthcare capital of the U.S., but it is also alive with music, entertainment, culture, beautiful scenery, amazing food, and wonderful people. As it has demonstrated time and time again, Nashville is filled with people who exhibit a caring and collaborative spirit. At Brookdale Senior Living we truly enjoy the business synergies and servant spirit that come with being in this great community.

We proudly provide seniors with care, personal connection, and services in an environment that truly feels like home.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
There is no other industry that offers all of the benefits of working in senior living. One of the ways in which Brookdale Senior Living stands out is our collective dedication to our mission. Our shared mission is to enrich lives with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity.
What’s your biggest goal for your company this year?
Our goal is to remain at the forefront of helping seniors manage the challenges of aging. To accomplish that goal, we have prioritized attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining the best associates in the industry.
What best business practices did you learn in 2020 during the pandemic and what did you do to be creative?
When we first learned of the pandemic we reinvented our business virtually overnight. Our leadership took fast and focused action as we aligned our priorities around our North Star, the health and well-being of our residents and associates. We quickly established a command center as a central point for clear decisions and consistent communications. We also put a genuine emphasis on the utilization and implementation of new technology to help provide new ways to improve the lives of our residents and associates. At Brookdale, everyone has an important role to play in a crisis and beyond and an opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves.
