Over the last eight weeks, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of hosting UNC-Chapel Hill’s Morehead-Cain Scholars for their Civic Collaboration program. These students are rising sophomores and have been in Nashville through the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Foundation, a merit-based full-ride scholarship to UNC Chapel Hill.
The focus of their eight-week program was “The Impact of Cost of Living on the Creative Class,” an essential topic as Nashville continues to grow. Scholars Jay Sedam, Marli English, Addison Truzy, Chandler Beals, and Benji Garland reached out to community stakeholders to gather diverse perspectives on this critical issue. Partners and experts in the field engaged with these talented individuals, informing and providing useful data to make impactful recommendations. Below is a link to their findings and recommendations.
