Who is Karen Moreland Photography, and what should we know about you?
I have been in business since 2013 with a deep focus on serving my clients well from start to finish. Many of my clients choose me to capture all their life stages, from weddings, maternity, newborn, important sessions beyond their beginnings, including business branding and headshots. Many of my portrait clients come to me for my expertise in designing custom wall art and heirloom albums for their families and know that they will not be left with a DIY printing project after their sessions. Creating a generational legacy is important to my clients, and this is where I can help them most.
What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
The most valuable aspect of being a NACC member has been the available resources provided to me and the level of service I’ve experienced since joining. So many Chamber employees and members have reached out to ask where they could be of help, and all of those efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Are there new markets or demographics you are targeting?
Yes, I am currently reaching out to different areas with private schools, where families are looking for family and senior portraits. Families who are looking to build their legacies with generational heirlooms as the focus are often the best fit for what I offer. I am also looking to work with more branding and headshot clients for business owners and entrepreneurs looking to expand their online presence.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
I base my business around serving my clients to the best of my ability, not just achieving end results. I will never be the photographer who sends a flash drive and never to be seen or heard from again. I build relationships, I find the pain points, and I solve the problems keeping clients from achieving what they desire most—timeless and tangible memories. This level of service is becoming less and less common throughout our markets, and my mission is to keep that at the core of my values.
What do you want to be known for in the business community?
I want to be known as the photographer who goes above and beyond to serve my clients with whatever portrait needs they may have. From documenting their family’s journey to helping business owners grow their online presence through branding and headshots. I care about how I show up for people, exceeding all expectations.
