Our client is a leader in providing comprehensive surveying and engineering services, and they are seeking a skilled and dedicated LiDAR Drone Pilot to join their expanding team.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a professional and experienced LiDAR Drone Pilot to conduct precise and efficient aerial surveys using state-of-the-art drone technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-resolution LiDAR data for various applications, including open field surveys, topographic mapping, and utility infrastructure scanning. This role requires a meticulous approach, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct LiDAR drone surveys of open fields, topography, and utility infrastructure using company-provided advanced drone systems.
  • Plan and execute flight missions, ensuring optimal data capture and adherence to project specifications.
  • Process and analyze LiDAR data to generate accurate and detailed 3D models and maps.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot drone equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Adhere to all FAA regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Interact professionally with local residents and address any inquiries or concerns that may arise during field operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of flight logs, data collection, and equipment maintenance.
  • Travel to various project sites within the Nashville Metro Area.

Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining LiDAR-equipped drones.
  • Strong understanding of LiDAR data processing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in using drone flight planning software and related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Experience in surveying or engineering fields is highly desirable.
