Tell us about yourself?
I’m fortunate to lead in an industry that has a real and lasting impact on people’s lives. Every day, I wake up thinking about how we can improve care, strengthen our teams and continue building on HCA Healthcare’s legacy. Nashville has been an incredible place to grow my career, and I’m grateful to be part of this city’s healthcare community. Outside of work, I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning, investing in people and staying involved in the community. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to lead with purpose and leave a positive impact wherever I can.

What should we know about you?
I’m passionate about people, driven by purpose and committed to making a difference. Leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about serving others, building great teams and leaving things better than you found them. I believe in leading with integrity, fostering a culture of innovation and always putting our patients and colleagues first.
How did you get to your current position?
By listening, learning and staying focused on what truly matters—our people and our patients. I started my career in healthcare knowing that I wanted to make an impact, and over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible teams, mentors and colleagues who have helped shape my leadership approach. I’ve always leaned into challenges, sought out opportunities to grow and stayed committed to the mission. That journey—one of continuous learning and collaboration—brought me to where I am today.
What value do you see in Chamber involvement?
The Chamber is more than just a business organization—it’s a connector, an advocate and a driver of growth. Being involved allows us to stay engaged with our community, collaborate with other industries and help shape the future of Nashville. HCA Healthcare’s roots are deeply tied to this city, and by working alongside other businesses and leaders, we can continue to strengthen both our organization and the broader Nashville economy.
What is your leadership style? How does that motivate yourself and your team?
I believe in servant leadership—leading with purpose, humility and a commitment to developing those around me. My job is to clear obstacles, set a clear vision and create an environment where people can do their best work. I stay motivated by seeing our teams innovate, solve problems and improve lives every day. For my team, I emphasize accountability, collaboration and a patient-first mindset—because when we lead with integrity and focus on the mission of caring for and improving human life, success follows naturally.
What makes Nashville a great place to do business?
Nashville is a great city—it’s the healthcare capital of the country. With a deep history of healthcare innovation, it has attracted some of the most forward-thinking companies, leaders and talent in the industry. HCA Healthcare was founded here, and today, the city continues to be a hub for groundbreaking healthcare advancements, research and collaboration. Beyond healthcare, Nashville’s vibrant culture, strong economy and entrepreneurial spirit make it a city where business thrives.
How would you describe the Nashville healthcare community?
Nashville’s healthcare community is unmatched in depth, expertise and collaboration. It’s a place where leaders, physicians, entrepreneurs and innovators work together to advance patient care—not just for our city, but across the country and the world. The healthcare ecosystem here is built on partnerships, shared knowledge and a commitment to excellence, which has made it the epicenter of healthcare leadership and transformation.
If you could switch careers for a day, what would you do and why?
If I could switch careers for a day, I’d be a competitive pitmaster—firing up the smoker, perfecting the craft and competing at the highest level. Barbecue is about patience, precision and passion—three things that also define great leadership. Just like in healthcare, success in competition BBQ isn’t about rushing the process; it’s about understanding the science, fine-tuning every detail and leading a team that works together seamlessly. The best pitmasters, like the best leaders, balance tradition with innovation, always looking for ways to improve without losing sight of what truly matters. And at the end of the day, both careers share the ultimate goal—bringing people together and creating something meaningful.
