Position Goal: Performs exceptional imaging procedures using radio frequency waves and strong magnetic fields at a high technical level.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes while taking into account each physician’s protocol.
- Puts patients at ease and keeps safety a priority. Keeps patients mentally and physically comfortable.
- Organizes and prepares images/patient history/paperwork for radiologists’ interpretation by use of fax and Teleradiology via internet.
- Injects patients with contrast material.
- Stocks MRI rooms with appropriate materials.
- Completes appropriate paperwork and computer applications.
- Ensures that images meet the established quality standards.
- Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed.
- Assists with entering MRI reports into patient’s charts.
