POSITION OVERVIEW
The Economic Development Coordinator is a high-visibility role in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. This role involves keeping a pulse on all downtown economic activity, while combining data research, reporting, project management, and stakeholder coordination to support downtown development initiatives.
The coordinator will track data — office, residential, hotel, retail investment, and development — and collaborate on compiling quarterly market reports, presentations, newsletters, and special requests. A key part of the role is coordinating outreach with stakeholders across business, hospitality, and residential communities for select initiatives, projects, and events.
This role reports to, and partners closely with, the VP of Economic Development to manage initiatives, projects, and events, maintain key databases that inform decision-making of stakeholders for the continued growth and enhancement of downtown, and the recruitment and retention of business.

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development of quarterly research reports and data analysis in partnership with local organizations, asset managers, business and property owners, and residential property managers. Key Metric: Timely publication and accuracy of reports.
- Utilize economic and demographic data from multiple sources, including CoStar, Placer.AI, GNAA, and other sources, to provide insights into trends and market opportunities.
- Manage and enhance the organizational CRM database, collaborating with the Data Analyst & Systems Coordinator. Maintain accurate downtown property, tenant, and stakeholder information. Key Metric: Annual database audit shows high accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate engagement with key stakeholders across business, hospitality, and residential communities for select initiatives, projects, and events.
- Support the VP of Economic Development and other staff on ongoing initiatives, projects, and events, presentations, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide research and data support to colleagues as needed.
- Deliver presentations to key stakeholder groups regarding economic findings and updates.
