Can you share a significant lesson you have learned as a business leader?
People. Treat your team and your community with respect and kindness. Without them, we would not be where we are today.
How do you manage and maintain a positive company culture?
We focus on our people and our community because they are the reason we are here. We live by our core values of Passion, Partnership, Integrity, and Fun all with purpose and hold not only our Roadies but also our partners to that same standard.
You can see us living our Fun core value every day when you visit through our line dancing in the dining room, our Texas-sized birthday celebrations, and our commitment to being the friendliest place in town.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
Our founder Kent Taylor always said, “We are a people company that just happens to sell steak,” and we hold true to that every single day. We aren’t another chain restaurant here to just serve food but to truly serve our community and our Roadies (our employees) with integrity.
Texas Roadhouse is a made-from-scratch restaurant. We make everything we serve from scratch to ensure our guests get the best quality while also staying value-based. Check out our Early Dine Special Monday – Thursday, 3pm – 5pm, for 11 of your favorite entrees for only $12.99.
How do you stay involved in the community?
Texas Roadhouse offers various programs to our community to get us involved. These include:
Partners in Education: We provide free materials to learning centers in our area, focusing on building up the students and the schools based on the opportunities they have. This can involve certificates to reward students and teachers for their hard work and bookmarks to encourage students to read through our Andy Reading Literacy Program.
Fundraising: Texas Roadhouse offers a multitude of fundraiser options to best fit your needs.
Dine to Donates or Spirit Nights: where we donate 10% of sales brought in by the organization back to them.
Peanut and Peanut Brittle Fundraisers: Organizations can sell our peanuts or peanut brittle (made locally in Goodlettsville, TN) with coupons attached.
Gift Card Fundraisers: Sell our gift cards and receive 10% of each card sold back!
Business Partnership Program: Partner with Texas Roadhouse through joint promotions to increase your brand identity and drive more guests into your business!
Event Support: Invite Texas Roadhouse to your event, and we will show up with passion and fun! Oh, and we won’t forget to bring our mascot Andy the Armadillo either.
What do you want to be known for in the business community?
We want to be known as a true community partner. Texas Roadhouse prides itself in our community involvement from Partners in Education, local business partnerships, and truly being there for our community when in need.
