Three-year engagement to focus on global health and innovation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 28, 2026) – The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce  today announced that it is entering a three-year global strategic partnership with Global Health Connector, an international network focused on connecting healthcare innovation ecosystems around the world. Global Health Connector was founded in Belfast with its United States hub located in Nashville.

“Nashville is one of the world’s leading healthcare markets with a concentration of healthcare businesses, expertise and innovation assets in the Nashville area,” said Stephanie Coleman, President and CEO of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to partner with Global Health Connector to strengthen our international healthcare strategy to elevate Nashville’s profile globally as a center for healthcare innovation, digital health and international collaboration.”

This partnership aims to create a foundation for long-term connectivity between Nashville and global healthcare ecosystems supporting business attraction, market access, partnership development and innovation exchange and to support collaboration across innovation, digital health, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and investment.

“Nashville is our gateway to North America for our Global communities and to the very best of US health innovation, expertise, investment and entrepreneurship,” said Bleddyn Rees, Deputy Chair at Global Health Connector. “I first visited Nashville twenty years ago to visit Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and was stunned by the outstanding use of digital technologies and service design and each time I visit I continue to find more amazing people to learn from. I am confident our strategic partnership with the Chamber will provide many opportunities for each organization and our members.”

This alliance complements the Chamber’s  expanding engagement across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and Europe and involvement in initiatives such as Global Health Innovators to connect Nashville’s healthcare ecosystem with innovation hubs around the world.

With a broader scope and deeper connections than typical partnerships, this agreement includes international initiatives, trade and study missions, flagship events, ecosystem engagement and long-term global connectivity.

As a first event, the Chamber will be joining Global Health Connector for HLTH Europe, Europe’s leading healthcare innovation event that will host over 5,000 executives from more than 50 countries focusing on healthcare innovation, progress and solutions to improve health outcomes across Europe. The event will take place in Amsterdam June 15 – 18.
