Who is My Big Letters and what should we know about you?
My Big Letters is a family-owned event rental company specializing in large light up letters rentals. My wife and I started the company in 2023 with a simple goal: create something people would remember long after the event was over. Today, we serve weddings, corporate events, schools, nonprofits and celebrations throughout Middle Tennessee and beyond with both 4-foot and 7-foot light up letters, along with a growing collection of in-house event enhancements.
What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
The relationships have been the most valuable part of our Chamber membership. Being connected to other Nashville-area businesses, venues and organizations has helped us become more involved in the business community while creating opportunities to build genuine long-term relationships. For a growing small business, having access to that network is incredibly valuable.
Can you share a significant lesson you have learned as a business leader?
One of the biggest lessons we have learned is that growth cannot come at the expense of the customer experience. As we have expanded our inventory and service area, we have worked hard to remain responsive, dependable and personally involved. People may initially contact us because they love how the letters look, but we want them to remember how easy we were to work with.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
Scale and customization are two of our biggest differentiators. We offer signature 7-foot lighted letters as well as our versatile 4-foot collection, allowing us to create everything from smaller displays to large statement installations. We also offer many of our event enhancements in-house, including balloons, specialty lighting, backdrops, florals and other décor. Instead of simply renting letters, we can help create an entire photo-worthy focal point for an event.
Can you share why the Nashville region is a good place to do business?
Nashville is an incredible place to operate an event-focused business because there is always something happening. Between weddings, conventions, corporate events, nonprofit events, tourism, universities, entertainment and a rapidly growing business community, there is a constant demand for memorable experiences. We also appreciate how relationship-driven the Nashville business community is. People genuinely want to connect, collaborate and support one another.
What do you want to be known for in the business community?
We want My Big Letters to be known as the company that can take an ordinary space and turn it into something people stop, photograph and remember. Just as importantly, we want to be known as a dependable local company that communicates well, shows up when promised and genuinely cares about the success of every event we are invited to be part of.
