Tell us about yourself.
I grew up in Baton Rouge and Memphis but moved to Nashville in 2003 from Louisiana and instantly fell in love with it. I’m married with three kids (12, 9, and 3), which keeps life exciting. I love traveling with my family, duck hunting, and playing golf—though I’ll admit I’m not very good at it. I’m also a big football fan, whether it’s cheering on my kids’ teams, the Titans, or LSU.
Tell us about your business/industry.
Our industry is all about people and the relationships we build. As commercial real estate brokers, our team specializes in helping clients navigate their office and customer space needs, whether through leasing or sales. We focus on creating value by understanding their goals and finding the right solutions.
What should we know about you?
I’m someone who values relationships, both in business and in life. I grew up in Baton Rouge and Memphis, moved to Nashville in 2003, and quickly fell in love with the city. I’m married with three kids, which keeps things busy and fun. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family, duck hunting, playing golf (even if I’m not great at it), and cheering on my kids’ teams, the Titans, and LSU. In my career as a commercial real estate broker at Reality Stream Partners, I focus on helping clients with their office and customer space needs, whether through leasing or sales. I believe this business is all about people, and I’ve been fortunate to work with great clients, talented teammates, and generous mentors along the way.
How did you get to your current position?
I owe my success to my clients, but I wouldn’t have great clients without an incredible team, generous mentors, and a supportive spouse. Their talent, guidance, and encouragement have made all the difference.
What value do you see in Chamber involvement?
The Nashville Chamber has an incredible team, which is evidenced by their results and top national rankings for economic development.
What advice would you give your 25-year-old self?
The obvious advice is to work hard, make an impact in the community, and network as much as possible. But in our industry, the most valuable thing you can do is surround yourself with experienced professionals who can provide invaluable mentorship. Learning from those who have been there before will accelerate your growth and success. And above all—always remember, the client is always right!
What makes Nashville a great place to do business?
Obviously, the Nashville Chamber! Nashville’s business community is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which is especially important since so many of us didn’t grow up here. The city’s collaborative spirit, culture, strong economy, and steady growth make it a fantastic place to build relationships and do business.
What is your best advice for someone selling or purchasing property?
The best thing you can do when buying or selling a property is to surround yourself with the right experts. Consult with a tax accountant, a commercial real estate attorney, and commercial real estate lenders to fully understand the financial and legal aspects. Most importantly, hire an experienced real estate broker who specializes in your specific property type to help navigate the process and maximize your investment.
Where do you take friends or family who are visiting from out of town?
Broadway, Leiper’s Fork and downtown Franklin.
