Who is Guitar Center Business Solutions, and what should we know about you?
Guitar Center Business Solutions is really a collective of specialized teams that serve different parts of the business, creative, and community landscape. That includes Audio Visual Design Group, or AVDG, which focuses on commercial audiovisual integration; Guitar Center Professional, or GC Pro, which supports professional audio, live sound, recording, and institutional clients; Custom House at Guitar Center, which is our boutique, high-touch experience for elite creators and serious professionals; and the Guitar Center Music Foundation, which helps expand access to music education and instruments in communities that need it most.

What I would want people to know about us is that we are much more than a retailer. We are a solutions-driven business built around relationships, expertise, and service. We help businesses, venues, creators, and organizations bring ideas to life, whether that is through large-scale integration, high-end studio support, professional gear consultation, or community impact.

One of the clearest examples of who we are is Resonate Expo on April 9, 2026, at the Music City Center. It is a one-day event that brings together commercial AV, pro audio, integration, education, and live production professionals for networking, exhibits, thought leadership, and collaboration, and it reflects our commitment to serving Nashville and these industries in a meaningful way.

What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
For me, the most valuable part of Chamber membership has been the opportunity to build real relationships. The Nashville Chamber does a great job of bringing together leaders and organizations from across so many industries, and that creates meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and visibility.

It has also helped us tell our story more clearly in the Nashville business community. Because Guitar Center Business Solutions touches commercial AV, pro audio, creative services, and philanthropy, there is a lot to our business. The Chamber has been a strong platform for helping people understand the full picture of who we are and where we are headed.

How do you manage and maintain a positive company culture?
I think positive culture starts with clarity and consistency. People want to understand the mission, how their role contributes to it, and why their work matters. When that is clear, it creates a stronger sense of ownership and pride across the team.

I also believe culture is built through communication, recognition, and trust. It is important to celebrate wins, encourage collaboration, and make sure people feel valued. We work across several brands and disciplines, so staying connected as a team is really important. When people feel like they are part of something meaningful and know their contributions matter, that has a huge impact on culture.

Are there new markets or demographics you are targeting?
Yes, absolutely. On the Audio Visual Design Group side, one of the most exciting growth areas for us is sports and entertainment complexes, especially with our role as the AV integrator for the new Nissan Stadium. That kind of project represents a major opportunity for us because it shows how our expertise can scale into large, high-visibility environments where technology and audience experience are both critical.

Beyond that, we continue to grow in hospitality, corporate environments, education, and houses of worship. On the Guitar Center Professional and Custom House at Guitar Center side, we are also reaching deeper into the professional creator market, including producers, engineers, studio owners, touring professionals, and emerging talent. We are really focused on the places where technology, creativity, and experience come together, and Nashville is a great market for that.

What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
What makes us unique is the combination of breadth and specialization. There are not many organizations that can support a corporate AV client, a sports venue, a house of worship, a recording studio owner, a touring professional, and a community music initiative all under one umbrella with this level of expertise.

I also think what makes us stand out is that we combine scale with a very personal approach. We have the reach and resources of Guitar Center, but our teams still operate with a high level of care, consultation, and hands-on support. Whether someone is working with AVDG, GC Pro, or Custom House, they are getting specialized attention and real partnership, and that makes a difference.

Can you share why the Nashville region is a good place to do business?
Nashville is a great place to do business because it has such a strong mix of creativity, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and growth. It is a city with deep cultural roots, but it is also continuing to evolve in exciting ways, and that creates a lot of opportunity.

For our business specifically, Nashville makes a lot of sense because it sits at the intersection of so many of the industries we serve. Music, live production, education, worship, sports, entertainment, hospitality, and business all have a strong presence here. It is also a relationship-driven city, and that aligns really well with how we do business.

How do you stay involved in the community?
Community involvement is really important to us. We stay involved by supporting local events, building partnerships with schools and organizations, participating in business and industry groups, and looking for ways to create opportunities that bring people together.

The Guitar Center Music Foundation is a big part of that as well, because it allows us to support music education and help create access where it is needed most. We also see events like Resonate Expo as part of our community involvement. It is not just an industry event for us. It is a way to bring together people from business, AV, pro audio, education, worship, and the creative community in one place and create something valuable for Nashville.

What do you want to be known for in the business community?
I want Guitar Center Business Solutions to be known as a trusted partner that delivers real value and leads with integrity. I want people to know us for our expertise, but also for the way we build relationships and show up for our clients, partners, and community.

More than anything, I want us to be known for making an impact. That means helping businesses solve problems, helping creators do their best work, supporting important community initiatives, and creating meaningful opportunities through things like Resonate Expo. If people see us as a business that connects people, drives innovation, and genuinely adds value to the Nashville community, that is exactly what we want to be known for.
