Who is Crush Bottle Shop, and what should we know about you?
At Crush, we believe wine should feel a little like falling in love—unexpected, unforgettable, and worth every moment. We chase small moments with big feelings, first glances, lingering pours, and bottles you’ll think about long after the last glass. We don’t chase trends; we curate obsessions. Every bottle on our shelves is crush-worthy wine + spirit with a story and a memory that lingers.

What has been the most valuable aspect of your Chamber membership?
Meeting so many interesting business owners that are truly dedicated to Nashville being a great city. 😊
Can you share a significant lesson you have learned as a business leader?
To hire someone with a history of strong teamwork, humility, and curiosity over skills.
How do you manage and maintain a positive company culture?
Hiring people that focus on the team first, that are humble and curious. I lead with the same, and it all falls into place.
What is unique about your business that makes you stand out?
We are hospitality and education driven. The store managers are sommeliers, cicerones, and beverage industry veterans. At Crush, wine, spirits, and beer are fun and made to be approachable. We introduce our guests to new and interesting bottles every day by tasting with them. We keep track of what they love so they do not have to.
What differentiates your business from your competition?
Brian (my business partner and co-owner) and I have focused on using technology to make a guest’s experience more user-friendly. I am all about hospitality, so we have the most welcoming, unpretentious, and dare I say amiable team to guide our guests through the vast options.

Are there new markets or demographics you are targeting?
At Crush we are still learning about our audience as a new shop. We love our neighborhood (Wedgewood Houston + Chestnut Hill), and we invite the adjacent neighbors (and Downtown because it is a neighborhood too!) to experience our shop. Wine tastings are every Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and spirits tastings are every Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
How do you stay informed about industry trends and changes?
Read, taste, connect. EVERYDAY! It is my job and my passion.
How do you stay involved in the community?
I am constantly hosting a tasting, pouring for a charity event, or connecting our guests with listening to what they are excited to experience. Our Collab events, such as the James Beard Dinner where we paired, donated, and poured the wine for Noko and SS Gai’s meal, were a fun way to engage with our greater culinary community.
