Gutterglove® is an innovator in the home improvement industry, focusing on people, products, programs, and technology. The company manufactures gutter guards and accessories designed to protect homes, regardless of roof type or gutter size, offering both do-it-yourself and professionally installed options. Their innovations extend beyond products to include new programs and technology that provide seamless support to customers and contractors nationwide.
Gutterglove began in 1996 as a small, local gutter cleaning service. While cleaning millions of feet of gutters, the team frequently encountered low-quality gutter guards that often had to be removed. Frustrated by the lack of reliable options to recommend to customers, they decided to create their own solution. In 2000, Gutterglove was officially incorporated, with the mission of designing and delivering superior gutter protection to help homeowners safeguard their properties from the dangers of clogged gutters. The company explored new designs, the best materials, and customers’ needs to develop a comprehensive and patented portfolio of the highest-quality gutter guards available. Gutterglove is proud to offer the nation’s most trusted gutter guards®.
What is unique about your company that helps you differentiate yourself?
We are proud to announce that we have earned the Great Place to Work Certification™ for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition underscores our commitment to cultivating a culture based on trust, respect, and genuine care for our team members. We firmly believe that when we invest in our people first, everything else—innovation, service, and impact—follows. Our culture is something we protect and nurture every day, as it forms the foundation of who we are and how we achieve success together.
Why is the Nashville region a good place for your business?
Nashville was the perfect location for Gutterglove to establish our second manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters due to the region’s logistical infrastructure, skilled workforce, business-friendly climate, and proximity to the eastern US population. In September, we celebrated our 25th anniversary and hosted a ribbon cutting with Williamson Inc. for our new headquarters in Franklin.
How does your company ensure a safe, efficient, and positive culture for your workforce?
Caring is central to our philosophy at Gutterglove; it is the foundation of all that we do. Our commitment to health and safety initiatives begins with strong leadership dedication, ensuring that financial resources and investments are prioritized. We aim to exceed basic legal requirements by involving our team members in shaping these programs. Their feedback is essential in designing initiatives that truly address their needs.
This process includes important safety training and equipment certification necessary for their roles. Our culture is rooted in our core values, and team members are encouraged not only to practice these values but also to actively support and guide others in upholding them, particularly regarding physical safety. We are committed to doing everything we can to support our team’s success, both personally and professionally.
Who are your primary customers or users?
Our primary customers include homeowners and professional contractors.
What key lesson has your company learned running a manufacturing operation, and what recent achievement or solution best illustrates it?
Being recognized as a Great Place to Work for the fourth consecutive year is a significant honor, and we truly appreciate this acknowledgment. Each year, we strive to raise our standards by actively listening to our team and making meaningful changes in response. Whether through new wellness initiatives or opportunities for cross-functional collaboration, our goal is to foster an environment where everyone can thrive both personally and professionally.
Is your company exploring new technologies, processes, or markets? If so, why are they exploring these opportunities?
With more than 25 years of innovation, our patented technology and expertise have safeguarded over 1,000,000 homes. We boast an extensive portfolio of high-quality patented gutter guards and are committed to developing new technologies and processes to better serve our customers and community.
How is your company involved in or giving back to the community?
Gutterglove is committed to giving back to the community. Throughout the year, we allocate funds from our business to support our Pay It Forward programs. Some of our most impactful initiatives arise when team members feel a personal connection to the cause. Therefore, we allow team members to select a local nonprofit organization, and we donate to that organization in their name.
