One way the community can support us is by remembering that December through February and July through August are typically slower months for hosts and many businesses that rely heavily on tourism. Any referrals or bookings during those times are especially appreciated.
In a few sentences, what does Aquila Properties LLC do, and who do you serve?
My business provides accommodations to tourists, business visitors, and locals who need a short-term place to stay.
What inspired you to start this business, and what’s the story behind it?
I inherited the business from my late husband. It helps to support me and my minor children.
What products or services would you most like the community to know about right now?
Currently, I am filling a 3-bedroom home with a basement for stays up to 29 days. Longer stays can be negotiated with a written lease. In the past I have housed friends, neighbors, groups celebrating their birthday weekend, reunions, bachelor/ette parties, construction crews, conference goers, locals renovating their primary home, locals whose utilities or HVAC were down, and many others.
What makes your business unique or special?
I live in the same neighborhood where I host. I stay involved with the neighborhood community. I strive to minimize the impact on my neighbors of having a short-term rental.
What’s the best way for people to support your business right now?
Refer my home to family or friends for their next trip to Nashville. Often, prices are comparable to hotels when considering the size of the space.
Are there any current offers, needs, or messages you’d like us to help share?
Booking direct always gets you the best money deal, and there’s no middle wo/man. If you want an extra layer of customer service or an easy way to get travel insurance, a website platform service such as Airbnb or VRBO is the best way to go.
