Position Description / Responsibilities

Goddard Mason Executive Search, a dedicated division of Quality Staffing, Inc., is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join a client’s team as a Territory Manager in Flooring Sales. This need of our thriving, growing client will be centered in the Nashville, TN market. This client is a fast-paced, rapidly growing wholesale supplier of luxury vinyl and other hardwood flooring with a national presence.

The candidate must be proven in sales to store front flooring businesses with an active presence in the market. Depending on several factors, this qualified candidate will earn an annual base salary of $60,000-$80,000. Additionally, of course, a very competitive commission structure augments the compensation package.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and sustain meaningful relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned sales territory.
  • Grow the marketplace by prospecting and adding additional clientele.
  • Monitor territory performance against established objectives/guidelines and take the appropriate action to improve performance.
  • Develop knowledge of products, market competition, and implement appropriate sales strategies.
  • Identify industry trends in identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Awareness of market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Submit quotes to existing, new or potential clients.
  • Travel as necessary to prospects, clients, trade shows, or conventions.

Position Requirements

Education, Requirements and Qualifications Needed:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Active, established marketplace involvement is absolutely essential.
  • Experience and success in hard-surface flooring sales is strongly preferred and ideal; however, selling other products to the same target clientele may suffice.
  • Motivated to make things happen.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact and negotiate with clients and prospects.
  • Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s business and product lines.
  • Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve.
